Leica partners with PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai 2016
Leica Camera is proud to be a partner of ‘PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai’, which takes place from September 9th through 11th at the Shanghai Exhibition Center (SEC).
Under the exhibition title ‘Visual Stories on China: Leica photography from 1933 until now’, the Leica Gallery will be showing impressive photographs by Marc Riboud, Wulf-Diether Count of Castell-Rüdenhausen, Ian Teh and Liu Jiangling. The exhibition will open for viewing daily from 10am to 6pm.
In addition, on Friday September 9th, 3:15pm-4pm, fair visitors are invited to attend a talk by Lorène Durret (Arts Program Director and Curator, Marc Riboud) and Jean Loh (Curator and Director, Beaugeste) who will give unique insights into the career of leading photographer Marc Riboud. On Saturday September 10th at 2:45pm, Ian Teh will hold a book signing of his latest monograph, ‘Confluence’ (2014) on the Leica stand.

Marc Riboud passed away on 30 August 2016 at the age of 93. With its exhibition at PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, Leica Camera AG honours the work of this exeptional photographer and hopes that it inspires visitors to look for beauty and grace, even in the most difficult situations. Leica Camera bids farewell to a close friend and exceptional photographer.
