Craig Semetko live in Wetzlar
The Leica world of experience in the new Leitz-Park Wetzlar is not only an attraction for photo enthusiasts and Leica fans from around the world, but also a place for cultural events like lectures and exhibitions as well as special events. The first of these will be the visit of the US-Photographer Craig Semetko who will report about his trip to India and his life as a photographer on 9th September 2014 at 7 p.m.
The street-photographer was born in 1961 in Detroit and follows in the tradition of classical Leica photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson and Elliott Erwitt from whom Semetko got a feeling for the unconventional and humorous. Thanks to his technical and compositional skills, daily scenes become entertaining and untypical stories. Among other things, Craig Semetko demonstrated his talent in the project “INDIA UNPOSED”, which was the result of a trip through India in summer 2013 with the Leica M and the Leica M Monochrom.
You are welcome when the Leica world of experience opens its doors for this first, very special event. On the evening of 9th September the English speaking photographer Craig Semetko will be an exclusive guest at Leitz-Park and afterwards you will have the chance to ask questions and there will be a book signing of his project ‘INDIA UNPOSED’.
Please Note: Attendance at the event is free but the number of spaces is limited, therefore interested parties should apply via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
