Leica Store San Francisco is excited to offer a workshop with photographer and educator Darcy Padilla from August 16-18, 2019. The goal of this workshop is to help participants in finding their vision and setting realistic goals in order to produce a portfolio of work. Photographers will receive in-depth critiques, constructive feedback, and photographic references. Topics covered include: developing your project, gaining access, composition, editing, sequencing, and the relationship between images.
Photographers will have the option to present a portfolio, works in progress, finished projects, or create new work during the workshop.
“Photography that moves me leaves me feeling an emotion. It makes me question myself, and my place in this world. The first thing in beginning a project you must care; the second is you must have questions… This workshop will explore your projects (or portfolio) focusing on visual storytelling. Assisting in the critical editing and sequencing of your images to reveal its essence. We will go beyond the single image and work on creating a narrative. By exploring your thinking and approach, to further develop a personal style.”
