Learn how to tell a compelling narrative of your subject in a visual language with celebrated photojournalist Maggie Steber and the Leica Akademie USA in a two-day intensive portraiture workshop at Leica Store Boston on May 19-20, 2018. Whether a travel, editorial or wedding photographer, portrait photography is a key ingredient in one's work. From composition to scouting a location, attendees will explore new creative disciplines to encapsulate the story of their subject in a single image, under the instinctive guidance of Maggie.
The first day will feature a presentation highlighting examples of portraiture by various photographers. Attendees will then spend the remainder of the day out on the field, using the knowledge they've learned to create portraits that speak a captivating story. The second day will conclude with a post-editing, followed by a discussion on the results of the portraits.
Owning a Leica camera is not required for this program. A selection of Leica M and SL-Systems are available for your use.
