M9 UPGRADE SERVICE
Product features of the Leica M9-P

Leica M9 owners can now incorporate the product features of the Leica M9-P into their existing M9 camera body, resulting in an alternative, even more discreet and resilient design.
In addition, owners taking advantage of this service will receive a one-year warranty extension, that is limited and only within the first 24 months after purchasing the camera part of the program. After the two-year period this one year warranty extension will not apply.

Leica Camera is offering all M9 owners two upgrade packages.

Product Features of the M9-P

Technologically at the same high level as the successful Leica M9, the M9-P offers special product features that can now be added to the M9. These include an extremely scratch-resistant cover for its LCD screen made of almost unbreakable sapphire crystal. Users can also take advantage of another characteristic feature of the M9-P, its minimalist and discreet appearance with the M9 upgrade program.

Interested M9 owners can choose between two different upgrade options

 

Leica M9 Upgrade Package 1 - ‘Sapphire glass' - $1,295.00

- The display cover will be replaced with the valuable sapphire glass of the M9-P.
- Choice between Vulcanite Leatherette or Smooth MP-Style Leatherette.
- One year warranty extension.

 

Leica M9 Upgrade Package 2 - Top cover, bottom plate & Sapphire Glass - $1,995.00


- The display cover will be replaced with the valuable sapphire glass of the M9-P.
- The top cover will be replaced with either the silver chrome or black painted M9-P top cover.
- The bottom plate will be replaced with the corresponding color.
- Choice between Vulcanite Leatherette or Smooth MP-Style Leatherette.
- One year warranty extension.

All upgrades will be performed by Leica's factory trained technicians and will be a part of Leica's regular repair service. Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis and upgrade time is dependent upon demand. Please note that we recommend that owners contact Leica Camera before sending in their cameras to arrange an appointment for the upgrade to avoid longer waiting times.
