We strive to bring people closer to the natural world around them.
Special optical instruments from Leica achieve this in one way, by offering you clear and intimate views of the world around you. However we also see it as our duty to create an experience beyond the lens. For this reason, Leica is active all over the world, in a vast number of projects, with the aim of creating incomparable moments with nature.
Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT)
The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a traditional British organisation dedicated to the protection of the wetlands and its various bird species like the spoon-billed sandpiper. Worldwide, there are only 100 breeding couples of the small shorebird left. They are primarily threatened by pollution, hunting and the extraction of fossil fuels.
Leica supports the WWT at the preservation of this threatened species and equips the field expedition teams with first-class optical products. With this unique range of binoculars and spotting scopes, they get fascinating insights into the world of the spoon-billed sandpiper and nature itself.
Magic Safari Lodges
For many years, Leica Sport Optics has been a partner of Magic Safari Lodges, who offers their guests the unique experience of Leica riflescopes and Leica binoculars during their stay. Magic Safari Lodges was created in 2006 and now includes some of the world’s best hunting and fishing lodges in its ranks. As one of the main partners of the Magic Safari Lodges Challenge 2012 - in Ferme de Mehaignoul, Belgium - we supported more than 300 Belgian hunters. They came together for a one-day event as part of a clay shooting competition and had the chance to test Leica Sport Optic products.
