Leica CL

Oskars Legacy

As Oskar Barnack began the development of the first Leica in the early years of the last century, his goal was the construction of a camera that would unite compact size, easy handling and superior picture quality without any compromises.

Today, the Leica CL is second to none in the realisation of these values. Advance technology with traditional ease of handling.

Picture quality
Expect only the best

In every perfect picture, the individual elements complement each other and come together to create a greater whole.

This also applies to the Leica CL: a high-resolution, 24 MP, APS-C format sensor, a Maestro II series processor and fast autofocus with 49 metering points come together to guarantee the image quality that is so distinctive for Leica: the best.

This naturally also applies to video recordings captured with a resolution of up to 4K at 30 frames per second. Whatever your expectations, the Leica fulfils them all with distinction.

EyeRes® Viewfinder
Complete control

With a latency time below the threshold of perception, a resolution of 2.36 million dots and the largest possible viewfinder image, the EyeRes® Viewfinder developed especially for the Leica CL ensures that you always have complete control over every picture you take.

Dioptres wheel

Unlock - Adjust – Lock

Compensation wheel that lets you adjust the view to your eyesight in a range of +/-4 dioptres.

Handling concept
Intuitive tool

The Leica CL is an intuitive camera. A camera you can use immediately, and one that impresses with quality. All essential elements for photography can be found on the top plate of the camera. Aside from the high-resolution electronic viewfinder, this is where you will find two dials for setting the aperture, shutter speed ISO value and exposure compensation.

All these controls are located in positions that enable photographs to be taken without removing the camera from the eye. A top display instantly provides information about all relevant parameters. The shutter button impresses with a perfectly defined release pressure point. The Leica CL gives you the feeling of being in complete control over every photo you take.

Design
A synthesis of tradition and innovation

With its archetypal design, the compact Leica CL sets a new milestone in the over 100-year history of Leica camera development.

It’s classic design appearance is packed with innovations that serve one single purpose – the transformation of your photographic visions into reality. The Leica CL combines iconic design with state-of-the-art technology.

Mobility
Light, compact and always at hand

The compact, light and handy Leica CL is the ideal everyday companion. Always at hand and ready to capture the essence of every special moment – easily and unobtrusively.

Connectivity

The integrated Wi-Fi module of your Leica CL enables wireless transfer of images to smartphones, tablets or computers.

The Leica CL App for iOS or Android enables you to share your images via email or social media. With the remote function of the CL App, you can use your mobile device as an off-camera viewfinder, change exposure parameters or take pictures with your Leica CL by remote control.
