New design variation. The LEICA D-LUX 6 in high-gloss finish

Leica Camera AG, Solms, presents a design variation of the Leica D-Lux 6 digital compact camera. In addition to the discreetly elegant model in matt black, the camera will now be available from December 2013 in an alternative version with a high-gloss, two-colour, finish. A particular feature of this newly designed finish is the combination of a silver lens and a high-gloss black camera body that lends this camera its elegant appearance.

Its fast lens and an extremely practical range of focal lengths from 24 to 90 mm (35 mm equivalent), make the Leica D-Lux 6 an ideally flexible camera for everything from macro shots and wide-angle architectural and landscape photography to photojournalism, portraits and available light photography. The combination of a high-performance lens and a 1.7" CMOS sensor that is particularly large for this compact camera format ensure an imaging quality that sets new standards in this camera class.

The camera also offers a comprehensive range of features, including automatic mode, manual setting options and full-HD video recording capability. Optional accessories, for instance an electronic viewfinder, provide even greater creative freedom in all areas of photography. Together with its intuitive handling concept, this all makes the classically discreet matt black version or the elegantly eye-catching silver and black version of the Leica D-Lux 6 an ideal companion for capturing those special moments in pictures of breathtaking quality.

Both versions of the Leica D-Lux 6 are available from authorised Leica dealers. A new addition to the range of accessories for the Leica D-Lux 6 is the Leica Soft Pouch in lambskin nappa leather. Black, stylish and with a fascinating wrap-around design, this leather case is a perfect complement to any outfit.
